When you bring your laptop connect to interactive flat panel, you need use HDMI or VGA cables to transfer the image and audio. Also a touch cables is required to make sure the touch sensing data is received by the interactive display. In case of the laptop power may die you need connect the power cables all the time.

Is there any better solution to simplify the external laptop connecting? 

Yes the interactive display with Type C ports would make this job easier. Only connect your laptop with type C cables, the audio, video and touch sensing data all can be delivery to interactive flat panel easily. Type C or called USB C, now is most popular new USB ports used in screen, laptop TV etc. With slimmer design, it offers faster data speeds and power, supporting both audio and video standards over the connector too. It supports video delivery at much higher quality, including the ability to transmit 4K or 8K video to a screen. 

We are much more familiar USB Type A” connections as can be found at anywhere. USB-A is a traditional USB host port design and one of the easiest to recognize on devices.It's a horizontal port with the “bottom” portion dedicated to pin connectors. This creates the infamous one-sided USB connection that only works when the cable is inserted the correct way, no matter how many times you have to try.

Interactive whiteboard or interactive flat panel sometimes using Type B connections, which are also easy to recognize because they are squared with rounded corners on one side, almost like the shape of a little house. USB-B is mainly used for external peripherals, with a USB-A connection on one end and a USB-B connection on the other. Many interactive whiteboard or interactive flat panel touch sensing data were transfer in this way by this USB-A to USB B cables.
